Sometimes one of the toughest things for students is achieving an optimal life-school balance. And this struggle certainly isn’t exclusive to student. Many grown-ups often struggle with life-work balance.
Think of your life as one of those fidget spinners with its three arms. These arms represent work, play, and rest. Right in the middle is life. As long as these are balanced, the spinner spins freely. However, if even one of the arms of the spinner is removed or shortened, then the spinner is out of balance. It will not spin as easily and it takes more effort to get it going again. Our lives become like that out-of-balance spinner when we don’t work smart, play hard, and rest easy.
Work, play, and rest need to be balanced for our lives to keep humming along just like the well-balanced spinner.
