My initial review of Reflex Math is a resounding… so-so.
I ran a 14-day free trial with 5 summer school students, and the results were less than impressive. With just 14 days to evaluate the product, I am confounded. That is, I don’t know whether the lack of results was due to improperly placed students or poor product design.
Also, I was unable to mix addition/subtraction with multiplication/division problems.
The games seem fun enough for a grade school student, but my junior high students may not have been drawn in by good old Mr. Crab.
In any event, a longer trial with more students (preferably two cohorts) would have been more useful than the severely limited 14-day, 5-student trial.
