How to Use Heron’s Formula


In high school Trigonometry, I first learned this formula. It’s quite amazing that this can be derived from the Law of Cosines. You can compute the area of ANY triangle (even oblique triangles) using Heron’s Formula.

To think Heron of Alexandria wrote this formula in 60 B.C. the formula can be used to compute the area of ANY polygon if you divide it into multiple triangles.

Remember that success is a planned event. Believe in yourself.
